Leone Lorrimer moves on from dwp, Antony Sprigg says goodbye to ISCA, Canberra Town Planning takes on two new associate directors, and Aurecon appoints Nial O’Brien as global service leader for roads.
Leone Lorrimer (pictured) leaves dwp after more than five years leading the architecture firm as CEO. Lorrimer oversaw the merger between Bangkok-based dwp and Australian practice dwp|suters. Brenton Mauriello steps back into the role of group CEO after a stint as executive chairman. Lorrimer has established Lorrimer Consulting and will specialise in workplace strategy and sustainable design.
After five years leading the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia, Antony Sprigg has stepped down from the top job. Meanwhile Ainsley Simpson has been appointed chief operating officer. Simpson, who has managed the council’s technical services for two years, previously worked with Coffey International. Simpson will act as interim CEO until a replacement is found.
Canberra Town Planning has expanded with two new associate directors. Nichelle Jackson has worked on small and large-scale commercial, industrial, mixed use and residential projects. Elizabeth Slapp most recently worked on Stockland’s Willowdale community in Sydney, which will be home to 4,000 people.
Engineering and infrastructure advisory company Aurecon has appointed Nial O’Brien as global service leader for roads. Sydney-based O’Brien has been with Aurecon for 13 years and previously led some of Australia’s biggest and busiest transport infrastructure projects.
CBRE has recruited Gerry Leyden as its new director of advisory and transaction services for office leasing in Brisbane. Leyden joins CBRE after eight years with JLL, where he specialised in CBD and metropolitan office leasing for blue chip firms including Newcrest Mining, SAP and Aurizon.
Dominic Powell, Julie Hardie and Phil Mackenzie have joined landscape architecture firm Archipelago, moving over from HASSELL. The trio have worked in transit infrastructure, university and hospital campus design, sporting infrastructure, public realm and mixed-use precinct design.
CBRE has appointed Steve Clark and Kyle Youngson to lead its metropolitan investments team. Formerly with Colliers International, Clark and Youngson join the CBRE Gold Coast office as directors specialising in the sale of leased investments and development sites in the area.
