Nelma Arancibia takes on CBRE’s new industrial and logistics project management team, Dr Donna Wheatley joins WMK architecture and Ascendas Reit appoints Paul Toussaint as its Australian CEO.

CBRE has appointed Nelma Arancibia (pictured) to lead its new industrial and logistics project management service in the Pacific region. Arancibia, who joins as an associate director, has worked with Goodman Group and most recently Charter Hall. Based in New South Wales, she will work alongside the firm’s advisory and transaction services teams, including the recently-launched supply chain services practice.

Dr Donna Wheatley has joined architecture firm WMK. Wheatley has worked with architectural firms BVN and Warren & Mahoney, lectured at top-tier universities and led projects for clients such as PwC, Air New Zealand, Medibank, Minter Ellison, and the University of NSW.

Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Paul Toussaint as its new Australian CEO. Toussaint, who is currently chief investment officer of CIP, will be responsible for the overall performance of Ascendas Reit’s Australian property portfolio and operations from October. Singapore’s largest listed business and industrial REIT, Ascendas Reit currently has AUD $9.4 billion in assets under management, including 29 properties in Australia.

Mark Rundle moves into the role of development manager for Wacol’s Metroplex Westgate business park in Brisbane. Rundle, who was property development manager for Toowoomba-based Wagners, will oversee development of 2,000 sqm of industrial, commercial and retail business floorspace.

Three new senior recruits have joined Knight Frank’s Queensland and Victoria teams. Christian Sandstrom has been appointed head of commercial sales in Queensland following 28 years at JLL, most recently as director of Queensland sales and investments. Matt Martin will head up occupier solutions in Queensland, after 13 years with CBRE. David Beattie moves from Cushman & Wakefield to take on the role of associate director of occupier solutions in Victoria.
