People on the move – 16 June 2015Jude Bolger appointed as senior vice president at JLL; and UrbanGrowth NSW fills three newly created executive roles, including appointing Julian Frecklington to the position of chief operating officer.JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has appointed Jude Bolger (pictured) as senior vice president – Consulting & Research. Bolger has almost two decades’ experience as a consultant to the tourism and hospitality real estate sector, both in Australia and overseas. He will primarily be responsible for JLL’s consultancy activities, as well as oversee research activities and publications.Bolger comes to JLL from DWS, where he spent five years as a hotel, gaming and tourism property consultant. Prior to that he worked in asset management, development and investment consultancy roles in the UK. UrbanGrowth NSW has appointed Julian Frecklington to the role of chief operating officer, in addition to making two other new executive appointments. Frecklington has a background in strategy, property and law and has approximately 15 years’ experience in the real estate sector. The major property groups he has worked for include Stockland and Brookfield Multiplex. He also worked as a lawyer at Clayton Utz and as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. He joined UrbanGrowth NSW in January 2013.David Pitchford, UrbanGrowth NSW chief executive, said: “The growing scope of the portfolio of work entrusted to UrbanGrowth NSW by the NSW Government, and its importance to the future of NSW and our cities, has demanded a new governance structure which includes a chief operating officer, and Julian Frecklington is highly qualified for this new role.”UrbanGrowth NSW’s two other executive appointments are Jillian Khoo to the role of general counsel and John Richmond as general manager of the new Commercial Management Office.Khoo has worked in project-specific financing, development and joint ventures in the property and development industry across a variety of real estate sectors, most recently with Australand. Richmond’s experience spans the architecture, property development and investment banking sectors. Before joining UrbanGrowth NSW, he was a lead real estate equities analyst at Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch.
