Opteon appoints new chairman; Buchan promotes three senior designers; Chinese asset manager chooses new head of international sales; Pritchard Francis announces new appointments and promotions; retail portfolio manager joins Sentinel; and Raine & Horne’s new WA state manager.

Michael Renshaw has been appointed chairman of Opteon Property Group (OPG) replacing acting chairman Matt Baxter who remains on the OPG board. Renshaw was formerly the chief executive officer and managing director of engineering, environmental and management services company Cardno. 

The Buchan Group has promoted three senior designers to it Associate Group. Hang Zu joined the Buchan Group in 2006 and has been involved in a wide range of projects including residential, mixed use schemes, commercial, cultural and industry projects. She has over 20 years experience in Australia, New Zealand, China and South East Asia. David Fantini has worked on a diverse range of projects in Australia and internationally, particularly in the high-rise residential sector. Abhijit Parasnis has been with the Buchan Group for 11 years and specialises in large-scale retail projects.

ICBC Credit Suisse Asset Management International (ICBCCS), the international arm of one of China’s largest asset managers, has appointed Elvin Yu as head of International Sales and Client Relationships. Prior to joining ICBCCS, Yu was the responsible officer, managing director and head of Institutional Business for Greater China and SE Asia at Allianz Global Investors. He has also held senior roles at Baring Asset Management and AXA Rosenberg.

Candice Raymond has joined Sentinel Property Group as retail portfolio manager. She was previously with Property Solutions.

Civil and structural engineering consultants Pritchard Francis has recently made a number of appointments and promotions. John Crabtree has joined the board after recently retiring from his role as managing principal at HASSELL Studio in Perth. Gareth Jenkins has been promoted to associate director in the business. He currently manages the firm’s Broome office. Peter Britt has re-joined the firm in the role of structural project director after 10 years running his own company. Dean Illingworth has been appointed civil project director in the Perth office and David Sidie as civil project leader in the Broome office.

Raine & Horne has appointed Craig Abbott as its new Western Australian state manager. The former US Navy intelligence adviser moved to WA in 2007 and worked in the resources sector until 2010, when he joined a real estate group as franchise coordinator. In 2012 he opened his own real estate agency in Perth’s southern suburbs.
