People on the Move – 14 June 2016Aspen Group announces changes to management and board; Charter Hall appoints Asset Management head; AMP Capital expands office and industrial team; new state director Savills Project Management; Knight Frank opens South Sydney office; Colliers boosts REM and International Lifestyle Estates divisions.Property Fund Manager Aspen Group has released a new corporate strategy including changes to its management structure and board. Current CEO Clem Salwin and CFO Adam Marrs Ekamper will leave the company at the end of September and August respectively, while current chairman Frank Zipfinger has resigned from the company’s board and Clive Appleton has been appointed to replace him. In February this year, the group sold it interest in the Aspen Parks Property Fund to Discovery Holiday Parks Group. According to the company’s announcement, Aspen is now considering several investment opportunities within and outside its existing portfolio.Geoff Sloan will join Charter Hall Group in August as head of Asset Management. Sloan was most recently global head, Property for BHP Billiton. Prior to this he spent four years at Macquarie Group as head of Corporate Real Estate. AMP Capital has expanded its Office and Industrial team with the appointment of Andrew Quade as head of Industrial, Asset Management. This follows the appointment of Luke Briscoe as managing director Office & Industrial earlier this year. Quade has transferred from AMP Capital’s development team and previously held positions at Lendlease and the GPT Group. Savills Project Management (Victoria) has appointed David Hayden as state director Victoria. Hayden has had a 25-year career across the Asia Pacific including roles as national director Commercial with AECOM Australia and New Zealand, managing director of Sweett (UK) Group, and associate director of Burns Bridge Australia. His appointment will allow former Victorian state director Chris Adam to focus on his new role as national director – Commercial.Knight Frank has opened a new office in South Sydney. It will be led by associate director, Industrial Sales and Leasing, South Peta Antoniou, who will work with Adam Bodon, associate director, Residential Site Sales, South Sydney Sales and Leasing and Nick Sinclair, associate director, South Sydney Sales and Leasing. Also working in the new office will be James Reeves, director, Industrial; Hamish Henderson, associate director, City Fringe; Demi Carigliano, sales executive, Industrial and Metropolitan Sales; Sara Ford, office coordinator and Jess Pankiw, executive analyst. Eugene Evgenikos, head of Industrial Investments, Australia and Anthony Pirrottina, analyst, Industrial Investments, will also ‘float’ between Knight Frank’s South Sydney and the Sydney office. Colliers International has made three appointments to its Real Estate Management (REM) team in Queensland. Tim Matthews, previously commercial manager at The GPT Group, has been appointed as State Product director, while Daniel Shafferman has taken on the role of national director and Steven Schneider has been appointed as director. Elsewhere, Colliers has boosted its International Lifestyle Estates team with the appointment of Kim McQueen as director in Melbourne and Richard Sholl as executive, based in Sydney.
