City expert Justine Kinch has joined design and consultancy firm Arcadis to support its property and resources growth. Kinch, who was most recently Western Sydney director of AECOM, will take on the role of client and operations director for property, energy and resources.
Damian Horton recently joined the PwC real estate advisory team as a partner in the Sydney office. Horton, who has three decades’ experience working in Australia and Europe, was previously head of property with Cromwell Group for three years.
Bradley Speers is CBRE’s new new head of research in Australia. Speers joined CBRE in 2014 as a member of its research team. Prior to this, he held positions with Brookfield, Knight Frank Investment Management and Investment Property Database.
May Ngui has been appointed to lead GHD’s business in Canberra and Southern NSW. Ngui was the first woman appointed to GHD’s global board in 2009. Most recently, Ngui led GHD’s Western Sydney office. She succeeds Jo Metcalfe, who has taken on a strategy development leadership role at GHD.
CBRE’s hotel division is expanding, as a new management rights service line is established. To be led by Shane Mullins, the new business will specialise in the management and letting strata titled units on the eastern seaboard. Mullins joins CBRE after 10 years with Resort Brokers. There are approximately 3,300 management rights businesses in Australia, with 85 per cent located in Queensland. CBRE says management rights is an increasingly sought-after asset class.
Cundall has appointed Tony Comerford as electrical team leader and Mark Brayshaw as mechanical team leader to grow the company’s building services discipline in Western Australia. Comerford comes from BC Engineering and Brayshaw from Wood & Grieve Engineers.
Nick Boyd will head up Belle Property’s corporate sales and business development team, after three years running a high-performance sales academy. Boyd will be working with principals and agents to improve efficiencies, profitability and growth.
Real Asset Management Group has expanded its Brisbane-based team with two key appointments. New financial controller Ben Bochow joins the firm from Curzon Advisers in London, where he was assistant vice president of finance. Real estate asset manager Doug Rapson moves over from JLL, where he was a senior executive in capital markets and was involved in more than $1.75 billion in real estate transactions. Prior to this he was a consultant at property advisory firm Urbis.
