People on Pitt

What happens when you give a group of design students a street for the evening? Well we don’t know either.

Students from the University of South Australia have been given part of Pitt Street and have 4 weeks to design and construct installations that help to reimagine what it could be.

Called ‘People of Pitt’ this project is a partnership between the Adelaide City Council, the University of South Australia and the Property Council (SA) that demonstrates how collaboration and embracing local creativity can create great places.

Pitt Street is part of the connection between the Central Market and the Riverbank & Adelaide Oval where the Adelaide City Council is piloting the placemaking approach.
