Over 100 WA women selected for 0 Women in Property program

A record number of WA participants have been successful in joining the Property Council’s cornerstone diversity initiative, the annual 0 Women in Property program. Over 100 participants spanning the industry across a range of roles and sectors will partake in the annual program, which pairs program participants with senior leaders in the industry to help mentor and develop their careers.

This year, WA boasts 107 participants, an increase from 44 in 2019 and up from just 16 when the program was first run as the 100 Women in Property program in 2016. As part of the program, participants are given the opportunity to network and share common experiences with other participants, as well as attend a committee meeting to be exposed to the advocacy work the Property Council does. This year’s intake will extend over two years to ensure that participants are able to experience the program in its entirety without being disrupted by the impact of coronavirus.

Property Council WA Executive Director Sandra Brewer said the record number of participants was a great sign for the local property industry.

“We’re really pleased that our 0 Women in Property participation goes from strength to strength in WA” Ms Brewer said.

“I’ve long been an advocate for driving greater diversity outcomes in the workplace and this year’s 0 Women in Property program certainly promises to do that.”

The Property Council congratulates all of our successful participants for 2020 and thanks those senior leaders prepared to sponsor and mentor emerging women in our industry.
