Yesterday, Property Council’s 2016 Residential Outlook sponsored by TOGA and UrbanGrowth had the highest turn-out yet with over 0 members of the industry attending to hear experts discuss the latest trends across the sector. 

Elliot Clarke, Senior Economist at Westpac, provided the macro-financial view and predicted that strong population and jobs growth will provide significant support for housing across the entire Sydney metro region in 2016.

Michelle Ciesielski, Director, Research and Consulting at Knight Frank Australia, examined residential development site sales by total volume, key development drivers and finished up with insights from the Knight Frank Risk Monitor 2016.

For the final half of the Outlook industry experts Nigel Edgar General Manager, Residential, NSW, Frasers Property Australia, and Andrew Whitson, Group Executive & CEO, Residential, Stockland,  tackled topics like housing affordability, tax reform, construction costs,  offshore sales and the expected impact of the Greater Sydney Commission.
