Nominations open for Development Tribunal Referees 

The Department of Housing and Public Works is seeking applications from individuals to serve as referees on the Development Tribunals under the Planning Act 2016

Development Tribunals, formerly known as Building and Development Dispute Resolution Committees, hear appeals against decisions made under the Planning Act 2016, Building Act 1975, Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002, Residential Services (Accreditation) Act 2002, South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring) Act 2009 (SEQ Water Act) and matters prescribed under a regulation.

Successful applicants will be appointed as referees on a casual as-needs basis for a term of up to three years, commencing 8 December 2017. The Government has emphasised a desire for regional-based and female applicants.
