New urban renewal strategy releasedEconomic Development Queensland has been provided with a mandate from the State Government to work with departments and agencies to identify surplus government-owned land for redevelopment within eight economic and community zones.The Advancing our cities and regions strategy, launched last week by the Premier, identifies a compilation of projects where the Government will focus efforts to facilitate new development projects.The identified projects range in scale from major Cross River Rail related developments, to initiatives aimed at increasing liveable and community housing in regional and remote areas.
