New tax guidance from ATO

The ATO has published new guidance for suppliers of home care services to help them work out when their supplies of home care services are GST-free.

The guidance covers:

• Government funded home care;
• Non-government funded home care;
• Subcontracted services; and
• Supplies with taxable and GST-free components.

The Retirement Living Council’s Tax Committee provided input into the development of the guidance.
