The Property Council website now includes new active research, policy development and industry advocacy resources developed and advanced by the Retirement Living Council:
- The ‘Retirement Living Management Capability Model‘ provides a conceptual industry position which represents the skills that capable managers apply in complex and changing circumstances. While complementing a Competency Framework, this organisational development tool provides a benchmark against which organisational management competencies can be gauged, compared and improved (comparative competition).
- The ‘Retirement Living Expenditure Guidelines‘ (Queensland Edition) addresses the absence of legislated capital item model classification(s) by providing a coherent framework that will help ensure a more consistent compliance approach by industry participants. This policy tool is designed to assist retirement village operators and residents identify expenditure related to Capital Items (eg, maintenance, repairs and/or replacement) in accordance with the provisions of the Retirement Villages Act 1999 (Queensland).
- The ‘Retirement Living – A solution for Older Women at Risk of Homelessness‘ presents a comprehensive research report and recommendations for industry participants, policy makers and decisionmakers. This policy and advocacy tool is designed to shine a light on the fastest-growing cohort of homeless Australians and – more importantly – put forward achievable policy solutions that will help stop more older women slipping into homelessness.
