New nbn infrastructure installation guidelines released

Revised guidelines for the installation of telecommunications infrastructure in new developments have been released by nbn. 

The updated guidelines, and a supplementary FAQ document, are available on the nbn website or below, and follow consultation and engagement with Property Council and other industry members. A number of changes have been made to the guidelines which will improve efficiency and reduce costs for the residential development industry, whilst ensuring that high quality telecommunications infrastructure is provided to new dwellings around the country. 

The guidelines can be used immediately, however a transition period is in place to enable industry to adjust and current projects to continue without additional requirement. Any designs received by nbn on or after 25 January 2016 will be required to comply with the new guidelines.
