New Hunter Regional Director for Property Council
Anita Hugo has recently been appointed as Property Council’s new Hunter Regional Director for the NSW division. Anita has worked across a wide-range of sectors for private, not-for-profit, and government organizations, providing her with comprehensive experience in policy, advocacy, and communications.
Being a long time Novocastrian, Anita has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the Hunter that allows her to continue Property Council’s strong advocacy in the region. Her previous position as Policy and Public Affairs Manager at the Hunter Business Chamber, a role she held for almost 6 years, gives her a unique perspective into the landscape and character of her new position.
Ms. Hugo commented, “I’m looking forward to representing the region and the local property industry as the Hunter grows and develops.”
“Infrastructure and transport investment, ensuring local homes are affordable, encouraging local investment and job growth, and growing bold and innovative cities of the future are all top priorities.”
“In the lead up to the next election, it’s important our region’s priorities are front and centre for both sides of politics and this will be my focus over the next 10 months.”
“I’m looking forward to working with the community, businesses and local and state government in my new role to build on the great work already being done by the Property Council in the Hunter.”
