NEW GUIDANCE FOR BUSHFIRE ZONES

The Queensland Government has published new building guidelines and landscaping guidelines to improve the bushfire resilience of homes.

The Queensland Reconstruction Authority worked in tandem with the CSIRO to produce the Bushfire Resilient Building Guidance for Queensland Homes.

The Guideline contains measures designed to provide Queenslanders with best practice building and landscaping measures for new and existing homes.

The Guideline accompanies other building guidelines published by the Queensland Reconstruction Authority including:

• Storm Tide Resilient Building Guidance for Queensland Homes
• Cyclone Resilient Building Guidance for Queensland Homes
• Flood Resilient Building Guidance for Queensland Homes
