New False Fire Alarm Fee

The Department of Fire & Emergency Services is introducing a penalty charge for repeated false fire alarms.

A $7 fee will apply to the fourth false fire alarm experienced and every false fire alarm after that within the financial year.

The introduction of the fee is part of a strategy to minimise the number of false fire alarms attended by firefighters.
