New faces in the Aquenta Consulting team
Aquenta Consulting’s capability has been bolstered by the welcome addition of a number of new team members in recent months:
Stefi Bong
Stefi is an experienced cost manager and estimator with over 13 years’ experience delivering projects spanning the health care, education, retail, commercial and residential property markets. With a proactive and flexible approach, strong problem solving abilities, and ability to manage the big picture as well as the finer detail of projects, her skills are highly valued by the clients she works with. Stefi joins Aquenta from HYLC Joint Venture where she was responsible for working with the design team for the New Royal Adelaide Hospital to develop the design within budget and with the broader project team to provide cost, scope and program advice. At Aquenta, Stefi will initially be working on the new $300 million Calvary Adelaide Hospital, a 12-storey new buildings located on the corner of Angas Street and Pultney Street in the Adelaide CBD.
Dariusz Majewski
Dariusz recently joined Aquenta in the role of Senior Civil Estimator. He has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry working with clients delivering projects across the transport, energy and mining markets, and specialising in estimating civil infrastructure and major earthworks projects. His realistic and open approach to estimating and negotiating contracts is valued by clients who also benefit from the broad knowledge he developed in a past life running his own property valuation and surveying business. Dariusz joins Aquenta from Lucas Total Contract Solutions where he was responsible for preparing tender estimates and negotiating and awarding subcontract packages. At Aquenta, he will be working with clients across our markets.
Mark Walker
After a couple of years away from the consulting field, Mark has re-joined the Adelaide team. With over 27 years’ experience delivering quantity surveying and contract administration services to clients across property and infrastructure markets, it is a welcome return. Mark is currently working with DPTI on the Flinders Medical Centre (part of the Transforming Health plan) and Upper Yorke Regional Road Network Upgrade.
Matthew Smith
Matthew has joined the office as a Cadet. He is currently in his third year of a Bachelor of Construction Management & Economics (Honours) at the University of South Australia. Since joining Aquenta he has discovered the creative aspect of quantity surveying and has realised that every project has its own unique challenges to overcome. He is currently working on the new $300 million Calvary Adelaide Hospital project.
Hamish Earl
Also in his third year of a Bachelor of Construction Management & Economics (Honours) at the University of South Australia, Hamish has joined Aquenta as a Cadet. So far he’s been working on a variety of projects in order to gain a basic understanding of the role. He is enjoying seeing how his studies are utilised in the professional workplace and comparing teaching methods to actual working methods.
