Melbourne takes liveability crown for 4th consecutive year
Melbourne has been voted the world’s most liveable city for the fourth consecutive year, according to a global ranking by the Economist Intelligent Unit.
The Economic Intelligence Unit assessed 30 criteria to produce scores for five areas: stability, infrastructure, education, healthcare, culture and environment, which is then used to generate a single score.
Melbourne achieved a perfect score in healthcare, education, sport and infrastructure, and high scores in culture, environment and stability. The score of 97.5 placed Melbourne first out of 139 cities.
