Melbourne Metro EES released

The Melbourne Metro Rail Authority has released its Environmental Effects Statement (EES). The EES is on public exhibition until 6 July 2016 at a variety of locations including the State Library and the City of Melbourne CBD Library. It can also be viewed in full at www.melbournemetro.vic.gov.au.

Submissions are due by 6th July.  Following submissions will be public hearings throughout July.  The Minister for Planning then prepares an Assessment of the EES. The Government has acknowledged the considerable disruption anticipated during construction, but has emphasised the benefits the project will deliver to Melburnians for decades to come.
