Meet the leaders

The first Future Directions event for 2015 was a resounding success attracting over 100 guests to the Zenith show room in Fyshwick.

In its third year ‘Meet the leaders’ speed networking continues to gain traction offering the next generation of leaders the opportunity to meet high profile executives in the Canberra property industry.

The room, divided into groups of ten heard from each leader in five minute increments, giving each group a chance to delve into the leader’s career journey, fulfilling projects and lessons learned. Guests commented on the range of leaders from diverse sectors and how each provided great insight into the skills, characteristics and qualities that make a successful leader. The common themes of the evening were around building pride in our city, how to achieve work-life-balance, identifying a mentor and the importance of cultivating a positive work environment.

The leaders found the event just as rewarding and came away feeling motivated by the value young professionals bring to the industry. It was evident from the buzz in the show room just how much future leaders have to offer to businesses through their openness to new ideas and desire for career progression. The next Future Directions event is the annual touch football competition to be held at the Deakin Playing Fields on Friday, 10 April 2015. We look forward to seeing you there!
