Meet the Boss: Paul McLean
The Future Directions Exclusive Boardroom Series held its second Meet the Boss breakfast on Friday 1 May, hosted by Savills and featuring Paul McLean, Chief Executive Officer – Savills Australia & New Zealand.
Attendees were fortunate enough to hear first-hand insights into Paul’s career, his views on issues facing the property industry and some invaluable career advice for up and coming leaders in property.
The conversation also focused on Paul’s current participation in the ‘Property Male Champions of Change’ program and the importance of promoting diversity awareness within the property industry.
Paul discussed his career to date, which began in the airline industry before making a leap into the Brisbane real estate market and subsequently progressing into his current position. Detailing numerous obstacles facing the property industry as well as his own career progression, Paul was able to offer helpful advice he had personally learnt from experiences during his career.
Throughout the breakfast, attendees were able to ask questions to assist in their own career development which involved topics such as leadership, attitudes, healthy workplace environments, career motivations and corporate lifestyle.
