What are your core business activities?

At Strongbuild we have two Building Divisions – Home Building (Streamlined Home Building and Custom Home Building) and Community Building. Our passion for building and our dedication to constantly searching for new ways to exceed client expectations has led us to developing a state of the art, 8000sq.m Streamlined Building Facility in Sydney. This facility is designed to take full advantage of modern technology to reduce the impact of the negative variables associated with the building industry providing control over price, quality and timing with the entire design and build process, in-house. By combining streamlined building systems with sustainable resources, we’ll be able to continue what we’re doing now, faster, more efficiently and forever.

What attracted you to the Property Council?

The Property Council is seen as the pre-eminent industry association that seeks to represent the best interest of those involved within the sector. The expertise and professionalism in which they represent the industry means they have a strong voice to advise on government policy which affects us all.

The events they host are also very valuable in providing relevant and informative information and provide a great opportunity to network with other like-minded industry professionals.

What are the issues of importance to your company that the Property Council can work with you on?

Innovation in technology, products and systems is usually met with resistance from government officials and agencies who don’t fully understand them or don’t want to embrace the change which can cost the industry or hold businesses back from moving forward. Developing appropriate ways to be able to work together would be a great benefit to the industry as a whole.

What do you see as the biggest opportunity for the NSW property industry in the next 12 months?

The residential sector does not show any signs of slowing down in the short to medium term and this creates a fantastic opportunity for the property industry to create unique and exciting places that have apositive effect on the way the people live, both physically and emotionally.

What do you see as the biggest challenge for the NSW property industry in the next 12 months?

Given the momentum in the residential sector the challenge will fall on local authorities to manage the increased number of people and movement and the development of efficient and effective public transport.

Creating a mix of different housing types and accommodating quality affordable housing also needs to be a major focus if we want to get it right.
