What are your core business activities?
We are a dedicated specialist Air Conditioning and Electrical Maintenance company employing more than fifty technicians servicing the Sydney Basin.
With over thirty years of continuous service to building owners, property managers and building operators, CBD Mechanical Electrical has built a skilled workforce capable of providing the full spectrum of required skills capable of delivering the best available maintenance solutions required to meet our clients’ operational and statutory requirements (Building Controls, Emergency Lighting, RCD Certifications, Test and Tagging of tenant appliance and equipment).
Our fully integrated cloud based service management system, incorporating field tablet’s and remote office data transfer provides real time capture of our actual performance and allows rigorous interrogation and analysis of our performance across the whole spectrum of services delivered.
What attracted you to the Property Council?
The opportunity to gain and share specialist industry knowledge, experiences, and more importantly innovative ideas and resources with Property Council Members and to assist the industry to accomplish goals for mutual benefit.
What are the issues of importance to your company that the Property Council can work with you on?
Delivering best practices in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and optimal plant operating efficiencies.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity for the NSW property industry in the next 12 months?
Growth in Plug-and-Play refurbishment and redevelopment projects to commercial properties delivering environmentally friendly low operating costs.
What do you see as the biggest challenge for the NSW property industry in the next 12 months?
Changes to the CBD Commercial Building Disclosure Program by Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy which has seen the introduction mandatory disclosure threshold on commercial office space lowered from 2000 square metres to 1000 square metres (as of 1st July 2017. Going forward owners and lessors of smaller commercial office buildings may need to disclose the building’s energy efficiency when they sell or lease their property.
