Meet our first 100 Women in PropertyThe pipeline of future female leaders continues to expand as the Property Council’s new 100 Women in Property sponsorship program gains an overwhelming response from industry.100 Women in Property, an initiative of the Property Council’s state-based diversity committees, aims to encourage established leaders – women and men – to sponsor talented women within their organisation or business sphere.Program participants gain access to their champions’ networks to enhance their own visibility within the industry and develop future career opportunities. The Property Council’s chief operating officer Kathy Mac Dermott says the program is now oversubscribed, and reflects the industry’s enthusiasm for measures that boost diversity.”We set out to attract 100 participants in our first year – and we’ve already exceeded this target,” she says. “We are extremely excited to have well over 100 women in the first year of this program, which runs until December.”We’ve been overwhelmed by nominations from people who want to participate and our industry leaders who are keen to support great female talent,” she adds. The program is being piloted in 2016, and Mac Dermott says the Property Council is confident momentum will grow from strength to strength.More information about the 100 Women in Property program and details of each participant is available on the Property Council’s website. For further information please contact the Property Council’s national business development director Jeanie Crowder on (02) 9033 1980 or [email protected].
