May Business Lunch with the Prime Minister of Australia

  • June 04, 2015

May Business Lunch with the Prime Minister of AustraliaMore than 1,200 guests attended lunch at the Adelaide Convention Centre on May 21 featuring the Prime Minster of Australia, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP. The lunch represented the first time that the Property Council of Australia and the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) had joined forces, making the event the largest business lunch ever held in Adelaide.Representatives of 442 organisations were all ears listening to the Prime Minister outline his plans for the nation and South Australia’s role following the release of the Federal Government’s second Budget. As we all witnessed, the Prime Minister was very generous with his time, pounding the carpet and pressing the flesh with members and guests. Belinda Heggen acted as Master of Ceremonies and, prior to the Prime Minister’s address, guests heard from Daniel Gannon (SA Executive Director, Property Council of Australia) and Jason Kuchel (CEO, SACOME) who spoke about issues facing their respective sectors. Following the event formalities, guests continued to network in Regattas Bar & Bistro, with a strong showing from both industry groups. The event would not have been possible without the support of event partner NAB and our wider corporate partners and supporters. Photos from the event can be found on our Flickr page.
