Matthews Architects welcomes a new member to its dynamic team

Award-winning South Australian architecture and interior design firm, Matthews Architects, has appointed senior architect Chris Greening to its team.

Greening brings 17 years of experience to the role with expertise in education design, health design and business development.

Matthews Architects managing director Gerald Matthews said Greening would be an asset to the team, which works on projects across commercial, retail, residential, education and health.

“Chris comes to us with invaluable experience across a breadth of sectors and we’re thrilled he’s joining the team at such an exciting time for design in Adelaide,” Mr Matthews said.

Greening has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Adelaide and completed a semester of study at the Ha Noi Institute of Architecture in Vietnam.

He was previously a member of the Property Council of Australia’s SA Chapter’s City Central Committee and previously served as the Chair of the Council’s Future Directions Committee.

Matthews Architects, based in North Adelaide, celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year and has embarked on a major expansion program, aiming to double its staff numbers from 12 to 24 in two years.

Founded in 1975, Matthews Architects is a medium-sized design studio specialising in architecture, interior design and urban design. The firm offers a client-centric service and has extensive experience across diverse industries, including commercial, retail, industrial, aged care, healthcare, civic, education, hospitality and residential.

Matthews Architects seeks to innovate and believes that one architect should lead a project from its inception to completion to deliver the best possible results.
