Masonic Care Expands with 5 New Villages On July 1st 2016 Masonic Care WA (MCWA) acquired five Retirement Villages in metropolitan Perth and the South West from Stocklands. The acquisition bolsters MCWA’s retirement living portfolio to 900 homes across twelve villages in addition to its ten over 55’s low cost rental villages and a 126-bed residential aged care facility Howard Solomon in the metropolitan suburb of Ferndale. MCWA has been serving the WA community since 1906 and established its first aged person’s accommodation the “Cottage Homes for the Aged” in Mount Lawley in 1962. Ever since the organisation has continued to grow while providing a people-focused service, offering a broad range of accommodation and care services spanning from as far south as Esperance and as far north as Port Hedland. The newly acquired villages included Halls Head Village in Mandurah, Murray River Village in Mandurah, Leschenault Village in Bunbury, River Parks Village and River Pines Village in Wilson. This purchase sees the continued ‘going concern’ acquisitions for the organisation who bought Glengarry Village, Duncraig and Forest Lakes, Thornlie in 2014 in addition to progressing a number of infill developments of their existing properties.
