The Property Council has today welcomed the Queensland Premier’s announcement to ease the mask mandate, effective 6 pm Friday 4 March 2022.
Masks are no longer required to be worn in the following settings:
- Workplaces
- Hospitality venues
- Shopping centres
- Schools
Density limits have been removed from the following settings:
- Food courts
- Hairdressers
- Wedding and funeral venues
- Gyms
- Universities
- Private venues, including no limit on the number of people who can attend
Schools can hold assemblies and excursions, and visitors can return.
Please note that masks mandates still apply in the following settings:
- Public transport
- Hospitals
- Airports and on planes
- Disability care facilities
- Prisons
