Lord Mayor’s business awardsNominations for the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards are now open. Celebrating 10 years of excellence, the awards recognise the best and most innovative businesses and entrepreneurs in Brisbane, focussing on their outstanding contribution to the growth of Brisbane’s economy.Since its inception in 2006, this annual event has evolved to become Brisbane’s most prestigious awards program. Last year, winners included Brazilian Beauty, Felicity Hotel Pty Ltd trading as Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane, EarthCheck, My FootDr Group of Companies, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Mater Misericordiae Health Services Brisbane Limited, Tanda, PLACE Design Group, Phil Larsen from Halfbrick, and Julieanne Alroe (BAC). The awards have become an integral part of Brisbane’s business activities. In the Lord Mayor’s words: “In a small but tangible way the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards have played, and will continue to play a role in the evolution of Brisbane as a new world city. They promote the excellence, success, innovation and entrepreneurial flair that are hallmarks of the Brisbane business community.
