Listing update for VCAT land valuation matters

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) will be changing the way it lists land valuation matters, with the reforms to be introduced after 10 March.

Parties will receive direction hearings and compulsory conference dates at the outset of their proceedings, and in some cases, a hearing date for matters that are not listed for compulsory conference.

The purpose of the changes is to provide parties with more time to prepare for compulsory conferences and hearings, and organise for witnesses or experts to attend, engage advocates and prepare reports.
