Leadership Communication for Women in Property
The Property Council WA has launched its first diversity education seminar, aimed at helping women to discover their own leadership style and behaviours.
Over one full day and one half day, participants discovered their own unique strengths and weaknesses in communication. In a select group of peers, participants learnt how to engage and interact more effectively at work and how to handle the conflict that can come with a leadership role.
The course offered individual and group reflections to demonstrate different behavioural styles and their characteristics in leading others. Participants were able to build confidence in leadership communication within their own organisational roles.
The event is the first of its kind for Property Council WA and it was a huge success, with the course fully booked with enthusiastic participants.
The Property Council WA and the WA Diversity Committee are currently working on plans to roll out similar events over the remainder of the year.
