Launch of the Village Management Industry DiplomaThe retirement living industry is committing itself to best practice management through the professional development of its staff. The Property Council Academy’s Village Management Industry Diploma has been developed in partnership with the Retirement Living Council to cater to the sector’s demand for high quality professional development.The first two steps towards attaining the Village Management Industry Diploma have been launched, with the Introduction to the Retirement Living Industry component delivered through a ½ hour e-Learning module, and Navigating the Retirement Villages Act course delivered through a half-day course at Minter Ellison.The first session of Navigating the Retirement Villages Act will be held in Sydney on 15 June 2015. Participants will gain an understanding of the relevant government policy and legislative requirements that retirement villages must abide by, and will understand the key sections of the NSW Retirement Villages Act. The program will address the Act using the following milestones: Module 1: Overview of the regulation of retirement villagesModule 2: When a resident moves into the village Module 3: While a resident lives in the villageModule 4: When a resident moves out of the villageClick here to register.
