Last chance to nominate for a committee
Nominations for industry committees are open until 28 October, as the Property Council looks for fresh perspectives, diverse skill sets and passionate professionals from across the nation.
Kathy Mac Dermott, the Property Council’s chief operating officer, says the Property Council’s committees are the lifeblood of the association’s work.
“Our committees shape the industry’s future, provide invaluable insights into the trends and issues affecting the operating environment, and provide a platform for our members to engage with policy, advocacy, research, events and professional development,” Mac Dermott says.
“With almost 1,400 people actively contributing to the Property Council’s committees, they are an excellent way to build professional networks and knowledge, and make a contribution to your industry beyond your day-to-day work life,” Mac Dermott adds.
Every second year, all committees are spilled and new nominations requested. In the 2016 spill, a 40:40:20 participation target – with 40 per cent male, 40 per cent female, and 20 per cent discretionary – has been set to drive diversity and renewal.
Nominations from companies have been open since early October, and committee nominations from individuals are now open. All nominations close on 28 October. Nominations can be made online.
