Kevin Bown Honoured for Commitment to Retirement Living Sector

As the Property Council reaches our 20 year Anniversary, the Retirement Living committee took the opportunity to commemorate a life time of dedication to the retirement living sector.

The Property Council would like to congratulate Kevin Bown who received the Retirement Living Life time achievement award at the Retirement Living Conference, on August 24.

Kevin was nominated by Ocean Garden CEO Ralph Gore. We Spoke to Ralph to discuss Kevin’s extraordinary contribution to the industry.

“Kevin has over 25 years’ experience in the Aged Care and Retirement Living sectors, committing the majority of his professional career to the well-being of ageing Australians,” Ocean Gardens CEO Ralph Gore said.

“During his service Kevin has been a great ambassador for the industry and all those involved in it. He presents very professionally yet has a genuine interest in the needs and well-being of every individual resident, their family and the many staff he has worked with and been responsible for over the years.

“Kevin has had two terms of five years of Board Membership with ACSWA and a number of years on the now defunct RVA State Committee.

“While his consideration of others is a dominant attribute his flexible approach, friendly disposition, openness, and genuine desire to resolve the many different challenges he encounters every day are also highly valued by residents and staff alike.

“While Kevin may be moving towards retirement his energy and enthusiasm for the role have not diminished. He continues to drive a major refurbishment program and a range of new projects to further enhance the village while continuing to pursue an ethos of continuous improvement. On his retirement he will be missed by the many friends he has made in the industry but his achievements will leave a lasting legacy for many years to come.” Gore said.
