JLL Promotes Ann Manifis to National Retail Director 

The Property Council welcomes the promotion of Ann Manifis to National Director JLL.

Ms. Manifis, WA Head of Retail, Property and Asset Management, currently manages the largest retail team in the WA market, with over 61 staff managing 367,056sqm of gross lettable area and 969 tenants.

Her promotion comes as a positive development in improving diversity in the WA and National Property Sectors, with only 20% of senior leadership roles in the WA Property Industry being held by women, as found in the WA Property Industry Gender Diversity Survey of 2015. Ms. Manifis, a strong advocate for Women In Property and a committee member on the WA Property Council’s Retail Committee, said of the improvements to gender diversification in the property industry: “I have seen a real change from when I first entered the industry, there is far more discussion around the issue now which is really positive. While there is still a way to go, I am encouraged by the noticeable improvement in women’s sense of their own value in their roles and companies. This is an important step toward the goal of true gender equality in the property industry.”    

Alongside Ann, JLL has made further appointments including Andrew Brown, Local Director, of Property & Asset Management and Ross Skelton, Director of Office Leasing and Associate Directors, Craig Carroll in Valuations and Advisory and Surekha Gomez in Human Resources.
