Issues Paper Released on Residential Transition for Ageing Queenslanders 

An Issues Paper has been released by the Queensland Government’s Advisory Taskforce on Residential Transition for Ageing Queenslanders in order to gauge public attitudes on a range of housing issues and potential policy responses.

The Taskforce, which the Property Council is a member of, was established by the Queensland Government to provide advice and recommendations to meet the challenge of ensuring an adequate supply of appropriate housing for ageing Queenslanders.

Responses to the paper will inform the work of the Taskforce in formulating policy recommendations for the Government to consider in addressing this growing challenge. 

Submissions to the Issues Paper close on 31 July, with the Taskforce expected to deliver a final report and recommendations to the Queensland Government in August 2016.
