Invitation to Quote for Economic Development StrategyEconomic Development Australia (EDA) has been provided Federal funding through Regional Development Australia (RDA) to engage the services of an external party/organisation to undertake research, consult widely and engage with appropriate stakeholders to develop and report on an Economic Development Strategy and Infrastructure Priority Plan for the Perth Metropolitan and Peel Regional Areas for the period 2015 to 2031.A joint Steering Group comprising representatives of EDA, the EDA Western Australian State Practitioners Network (EDA WA), the RDA Perth Committee Inc (RDA Perth) and other relevant organisations (hereafter referred to as “the Steering Group”) will be overseeing the project through the auspices of a Service Agreement between EDA and RDA Perth.Quotations are sought from suitably experienced persons or organisations to undertake research, consult widely and engage with appropriate stakeholders to develop and report on an Economic Development Strategy and Infrastructure Priority Plan for the Perth Metropolitan and Peel Regional Areas for the period 2015 to 2031.The objectives of this project are:To engage relevant Local Governments in the identification and prioritisation of economic development and infrastructure requirements with reference to the Perth and Peel Economic Development Strategy.To integrate stakeholder priorities for economic development and infrastructure into a strategy that aligns with “Directions 2031 and Beyond: Metropolitan Planning beyond the Horizon”, and any subsequent approved supporting documents.Quotations must be provided electronically to the offices of Regional Development Australia Perth at [email protected] before 4pm on Friday, 19 September 2014.A mandatory quotation briefing session will be held at 1pm on Thursday, 11 September 2014 at the Rise, Maylands.
