Investment and Property Development Conference Shows Industry’s Strength
The Victoria Division’s conference brought together leaders from property finance and development sectors. There was strong member support for this event, and positive feedback from those who attended. We were also delighted to host Premier Daniel Andrews, and to hear his vision for the State for the remainder of this election cycle.
A key lesson from last week’s conference was growing interest from overseas to invest in Victoria. The global stage has geopolitical uncertainties, yet Australia is seen as a stable, lower risk environment. We have a great opportunity to leverage our position.
While local mainstream lenders are becoming more discerning in their lending practices, there are many opportunities for alternative sources of funding and finance. Ongoing access to competitive funding is important for small, medium and large developers alike.
