Industry responds to Transport Plan for Brisbane

The Property Council has provided a submission in response to Brisbane City Council’s draft Transport Plan

The draft, which aims to facilitate the evolution of Brisbane’s transport network and support economic, social and environmental outcomes, has been largely welcomed by the Property Council.

Input has been provided throughout the process and recommendations to prioritise the strategic directions have been listed within the submission.

The Property Council has advised that an efficient and effective network can only be integrated once we understand the region’s predicted employment growth. It is imperative to identify what infrastructure will be required to facilitate this growth and implement a transport network tailored to such needs.

Strong collaboration between all levels of government, stakeholders and the private sector, to progress the directions identified in the plan has also been encouraged by the Property Council.

The Property Council looks forward to working collaboratively with Brisbane City Council, other levels of government and stakeholders, as the plan is finalised and released later this year.
