Industry leaders explain benefits of Retirement Census participation
The PwC/Property Council Retirement Census is the largest aggregated data source about the Australian retirement village industry and is refreshed annually.
To participate, village operators are asked to submit data by 23 June – so there’s still time to start if you haven’t already done so. Contact us at [email protected] for further details.
Industry leaders agree that participating in the Retirement Census generates invaluable benefits for their business, residents, the sector, and the Property Council.
Says Tracy Dare, Group Executive Commercial Services, UnitingCare Queensland (Blue Care):
“The Retirement Census is important in providing industry benchmarks to support best practice in the retirement sector. It provides a useful reference point for industry participants including operators, industry consultants and investors. Ultimately the outcome is a better customer experience for our elderly residents.”
The Retirement Census is also a key research piece used in sector engagement with government. The Property Council engages with government of all levels across the country about a range of issues important to the sector.
Stephen Bull, Deputy Chair of the Retirement Living Council, and Group Executive and CEO Retirement Living, Stockland, notes that:
“Strong government advocacy is essential to the sustainability of the retirement living sector. Participating in the Retirement Census means the Property Council has reliable, up-to-date data to use when engaging with our leaders on industry’s behalf.”
Stig Andersen, CEO, IRT Communities, agrees:
“By participating in the Retirement Census, we’re contributing to the pool of research about this important growing sector. The Retirement Census contains credible data enabling government and the community to better understand our product and industry.”
You can ensure you join the other leaders of our industry by participating in the 2017 PwC/Property Council Retirement Census.
Village operators who provide data receive a comprehensive data rich report which contains substantially more data than is released in the free snapshot report.
The Retirement Census results will be released at the National Retirement Living Summit in November. Members save $300 when they register before 30 June – click here to register.
