Hot weather no handicap for 2019 Golf Day

What a brilliant, sunny 30-degree day for all of the avid and novice golfers who joined Property Council’s WA Golf Classic at the Joondalup Resort & Golf Club on November 12.

Thanks to our major sponsor GDI Property and novelty hole sponsors Gough Recruitment and 3 Oceans, as well as our drinks cart sponsors GDI Property and Airlite, our teams of four enjoyed motorised golf carts, a buffet dinner and some friendly competition.

Congratulations to third place getters Link Engineering, on a score of 58.5, and CBRE Team 3, who produced a score of 58.21875 to walk away with the silver.

There can, as they say in the classics, be only one winner, so warmest congratulations to Pritchard Francis’ team James Leiper, Alistair Eyres, Ian Smyth and Marc Spadaccini, who scored 25.125.

Our golfers enjoyed a novelty hole run by Gough Recruitment and cheese and wine supplied by 3 Oceans.

There were five other award winners, with Closest to the Pin prizes donated by Joondalup Resort and the Longest Drive prize donated by Gough Recruitment.

Property Council WA Executive Director Sandra Brewer and GDI Property Group Managing Director Steve Gillard presented the prizes.

Our award winners were CBRE’s Aaron Desange, Closest to the pin – Quarry 3; Cushman & Wakefield’s Chris Forde, Closest to the Pin – Quarry 6; Ascot Capital’s Peter Agostino, Closest to the pin – Lake 3; Charter Hall’s Richard Pickerill, Closest to the Pin – Lake 8.  Synergy’s Alan Gerber collected the Aberlour Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey & Lindt Truffles for the Longest Drive – Lake 6.

Perth’s property professionals played 18 holes, Ambrose format, later enjoying dinner and revelling in their awards at the Joondalup Resort & Golf Club pool marquee.

Joondalup Resort noted that Property Council’s corporate golf day had the highest proportion of female participants. Congratulations to the women who came this year. We’ll be extending a warm, open invitation for many more to join us at future golfing events.
