Government asked to clarify office relocation plans
The Property Council is seeking clarification from the State government about its future office relocation plans in Perth. This followed the release, this week, of more details about recent relocations.
The initial release of a draft office relocation plan surfaced more than five years ago and since then the Perth CBD and key metro centres have been waiting for the final announcements to plan ahead. Over this time, the Perth market has changed with a surge in office supplies while new office demand has waned, causing vacancies to rise.
In seeking more clarification about the Government’s relocation plans, the Property Council will inform the Government about the current office trends and how they are impacting the market. The latest Property Council Office Market Report will be released at an industry breakfast on 4 August in Perth.
