Government Calls for Community Feedback on Queensland’s Energy Laws

The Queensland Government has asked for community feedback on the application of the National Energy Retail Law (2015), which regulates the sale and supply of energy to consumers.

The review aims to inform the Government whether the law has delivered a benefit to the state since its introduction in July 2015.

The Government has also prepared a discussion paper, ‘Review of the National Energy Retail Law in Queensland,’ which provides further information on the review, consumer protection, efficiency, costs and future retail market reforms.

Visit the Government’s website
for more information on the review, to read the discussion paper or to make a submission.

Submissions must be lodged by 22 March, 2019.
