Government announces new Housing for Logan

The Queensland Government has announced the Better Neighbourhoods Logan Initiative to provide new social and affordable dwellings in Logan.

A partnership between the Department of Housing and Public Works and Economic Development Queensland will take carriage of the initiative, which plans to deliver 410 new social housing and affordable housing dwellings over the next 5 years and over 3,000 new homes by 2036.

This new program replaces the Logan Renewal Initiative established under the previous Government as a public-private partnership.

The Government plans to consult with developers and investors to identify partnerships for the delivery of public housing projects coupled with private development.
