Girls in Property

The Property Council is excited to reveal plans for its 2018 Girls in Property Program in Queensland, which will see high school students participate in a full day of property-related activities and career information sessions.

Students in grades 10 and 11 of The Gap State High School and MacGregor State High School will hear about the career journeys of a number of industry leaders, and undertake property-related challenges and group activities, including the residential development cycle, virtuality reality in architecture and designing commercial spaces.

Participants will also take an exclusive site tour of the new West Village precinct, which is still in its early development stages.

The Property Council’s Girls in Property Program was introduced in 2017 as a pilot program in New South Wales, and has since been developed as a national initiative, following the hugely successful launch.

The program aims to raise awareness amongst high school students of the diverse range of career paths available within the property industry.

It is hoped that this program will encourage greater female participation in the industry and create a pipeline of talent for the growing sector.
