Future Directions Young Guns III

The final Queensland Future Directions event of 2016 drew a significant crowd to hear from one of Australia’s best leadership and executive coaches; Brisbane’s own Sonia McDonald. 

As the CEO of LeadershipHQ, Sonia has been named one of Richtopia’s Top 2 influential women leaders across the globe. Sonia stepped the audience through real life examples of how individuals can become leaders within their organisation. With a passion for neuroscience, Sonia spoke about the effects of positive thought processes and how they can power your career.

Drawing on her own experiences, Sonia was able to provide advice to women in the audience on how to become a leader in a predominately male working environment.

An audience Q&A session was moderated by Belinda Puna, Commercial Development Manager, Brisbane Showgrounds – Lendlease. Sonia fielded a wide range of questions from ‘what it takes to become a great leader’ to her thoughts on Donald Trump’s ascendancy.

Sonia recommends that attendees to the event watch this TED talk for further inspiration towards seeing themselves as leaders.
