1.       What is your professional role and how does it relate to the property industry?

Commercial/Industrial Sales and Leasing Agent – Provide unrivalled expertise and skills in the delivery of market leading real estate services

2.       What is your favourite thing about working in the property industry?

  • Assisting and educating clients in doing so providing property opportunities, solutions and services for the Illawarra & beyond
  •  Continuous day to day learning – large industry with many aspects and avenues
  • Dealing with a mixed array of people.

3.       How and why did you get involved with Illawarra Future Directions?

An opportunity popped up and I jumped on board. Why – it made sense; l am both passionate about the mighty gong as well as the property industry.

4.       As a Future Directions Committee Member – what is one of the things you would like to see the Committee achieve in 2019?

Bringing passionate, younger members of their respective property fields together at an earlier age so we can learn and grow off one another.

5.       If you could pick three things for the industry to improve on or would like to see developed further across the region – what would they be?

  • Development of Recreational sporting facilities – the Illawarra needs an indoor m aquatic centre
  • Continued renewal of Crown street/Wollongong mall
  • Conservation of our industrial land supplies.

6.       What advice would you give to other rising leaders like yourself across the industry to create professional networks in the Illawarra?

Talk to people and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Ohhh and come to our networking events!

7.       Lastly, who would you describe as being a key mentor for you in your professional career and what is the best advice they have given you?

There are too many to name, I came from a high-level sporting background and had a challenging transitioning in my chosen professional career – but I’ve have had some great mentors giving me bits and pieces of advice. A few that ring true to me are: (1) You create your own luck (2) Own your mistakes (3) If you have one foot in the past and one foot in the future, you’re pissing on the present!
