Future Directions: A Conversation with Megan Foster

The final Future Directions event of 2018 saw an eager crowd gather at the new Calile Hotel, Fortitude Valley, to hear from retail industry legend, Megan Foster.

Megan spoke to the lessons learned from her career as Group General Manager at Myer, Managing Director of Sass & Bide, and head of QICGRE’s Retail Division.

Moderator Daniel O’Driscoll, Investment Manager – QIC and Qld Future Directions Committee Chair, extracted Megan’s insights on how she overcame challenges in her journey from country girl to corporate change-agent.

Megan described the turning points in her career and outlined the importance of building a successful and motivating team culture. The redevelopment of the Myer flagship Bourke Street store was identified as a career highlight.
