Future Directions 12th Annual Lawn Bowls Tournament

The 12th Annual Future Directions Lawn Bowls tournament was a huge success with over 180 young property professionals – the most in the event’s history, proving their skills (or lack thereof) on the Bowling Green.

The evening’s new action packed layout showcased cut throat eliminations and final qualifying ‘shoot outs’, proving a true success for friendly competition. Overall, the result was a fantastic evening of bowling and networking.

Congratulations to the Tournament Champions, MPN Consulting, featuring star players, Jason Sellin, Lachlan Stephenson, Andrew Smith and Will Messer. Congratulations also must go to our Runners Up, MacroPlan Dimasi.

This year the theme for the evening was ‘bad shirts’ and there were some terrible shirts across all teams. The winner of the ‘Bad Shirt’ challenge was the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre team, comprising Tomas Lancini, Darren Lim, Ryan Drayton and Sara Watson.

A new initiative this year included the introduction of the Phantom Draw. This challenge proved to be exactly that, with most predictions failing to come close. Congratulations to Hayley Moran from MacroPlan Dimasi who came closest to predicting the Tournament Champions.

A massive thank you to the Property Council’s Future Directions committee for their help in the lead up to the event, and throughout the evening.

Thanks also must go to the committee for their kind donation of an extra raffle prize, the Goodie Hamper. The raffle raised over $695 for the Property Industry Foundation, which is a fantastic result for the committee.

Congratulations to our raffle winners; Darcy Kay – ThomsonAdsett, Marton Volep – Gough Recruitment & Miranda Bird – Cooper Grace Ward and our lucky door prize winners; Adam Shirt – WT Partnership and Scott Baker – Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Thank you as well to our sponsors, Savills Project Management and supporting sponsors – SGA Property and Leighton Properties, without whose support, this annual event would not be possible.
